Demersan Biotechnology Manufacturing Industry and Trade Incorporated Company was founded in June 2010 by eminent professionals who had comprehensive experience in the medical industry for years. Main purpose of Demersan Biotechnology is to penetrate the markets by manufacturing biotechnological products in conjunction with R&D and to launch these state of the art products for global market.
Demersan produces medical products in urology area. Our Hydrophilic Urinary Catheter product range includes GoldCath (Ringed), GoldCath Plus (Sheathed) that is produced especially for pretending urinary infections and GoldCath Kit (With Urine Bag) that can be used together with the urine bag. In accordance with our R&D projects, we are planning to launch new products in 2016.
Our catheter is made by medical grade PVC. It gets active easily once it meets with water (after 60 seconds) so that it creates a slippery surface during insertion and withdrawal of the urethra and minimizes the risk of urinary tract complications. For sterilization we use ethylene oxide gas.
Our packaging includes a sterile and easy opening shape. It has a rounded end and includes two asymmetric sided drainage. It has anti allergic feature which means once it’s placed to the urethra the transparency feature stays still active and after the usage of it does not leave any gel residues on the bladder or urethra. Our products meet the trustworthiness standards together with the 93/42 EEC - CE, EN ISO 13485: 2003, EN ISO 9001: 2008 certificates.
Demersan strongly believes that medical product development and manufacturing cannot be sustainable with the company sources only, therefore University-Company collaboration is a vital component for us. Demersan handled its projects successfully by working with The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK). The completed projects were registered under the company's R&D activities.

Our company mainly focused on the domestic market since its establishment and we meet 40% of the local market need. However starting from this year our main goal is to present our high quality products and country in the global market.
